Mexico Organic Tenejapa
Located in the Chiapas Central highlands are the indigenous Tzeltal population who've been producing specialty coffee for over 65 years.
There are currently more than 60 member families in this cooperative and coffee is often grown at or near the home.
The dry fragrance shows fruited characteristics that follows through to the brewed coffee. This Tenejapa is nutty and sweet too, what we'd expect from Chiapas area of Mexico, but there's a fruited quality that spans both dried and fresh fruits that have a rustic appeal (date and tamarind come to mind).
If you're in need of a special morning cup, this will definitely bring a smile to your face.
